  • Hotel location: 2799 Richmond Highway, Arlington, Virginia 22202
  • To reach check-in, from the hotel lobby go down the escalators or elevators one level
  • Bike Inspection Open in Bike Room (Independence B) – recommended for all riders

All athletes and volunteers must personally check-in and pick up their packets. You may not have a friend or colleague pick up your packets owing to our paper liability waiver to be signed on site. If you are unable to check-in during the Friday period, our Saturday check-in between 5:30-6:30 a.m. is available.

11:00 a.m. | Gettysburg Shuttle to Hyatt Regency Crystal City – World War II American Experience, Gettysburg, PA

  • Please arrive by 10:30 a.m. to for bus and bikes loading
  • Shuttle and bike trucks depart at 11:00 a.m. from the finish line at the World War II American Experience museum in Gettysburg, PA
  • Shuttles arrive at Hyatt Regency Crystal City between 1:00-1:30 p.m.

1:00-3:00 p.m. | Wellness Workshop – Across from Ride check-in at the Hyatt Regency

5:00-6:15 p.m. | VIP Chairman’s Reception for Top Fundraisers – Chesapeake Room

  • Beverages and light refreshment will be provided

5:30 p.m. | Cocktail Hour – Outside Regency Ballroom EF

  • Cash bar

6:00 p.m. | Doors Open for Kick-Off Celebration – Regency Ballroom EF (Bottom Floor)

6:30-8:00 p.m. | Kick Off Celebration – Regency Ballroom EF 

  • Entry included for all registered participants
  • Buffet dinner, cash bar
  • Top Fundraiser awards presented

Saturday, April 20

5:00-6:30 a.m. | Luggage Drop – outside Hyatt Regency Crystal City

  • Hotel location: 2799 Richmond Highway, Arlington, Virginia 22202
  • Please bring your overnight bag to the luggage truck in front of the hotel prior to eating breakfast
  • Luggage must be clearly tagged with your name and your rider number

5:00-6:30 a.m. | Breakfast – Ballroom EF (Bottom Level)

  • Hotel location: 2799 Richmond Highway, Arlington, Virginia 22202
  • Quick breakfast featuring a variety of protein-based breakfast sandwiches and small offerings provided on the Hyatt Regency lower level (if you eat in the hotel restaurant, or order room service, you are responsible for the cost)

5:30 – 6:30 a.m. | Saturday athlete check-in and bike inspection

6:45 a.m. | All riders to staging on Crystal Drive (behind Hyatt Regency)

7:00 a.m. | Outdoor opening ceremony

  • Please remove helmets for National Anthem

7:15 a.m | Face of America: Gettysburg Begins

  • Due to the route, you must arrive at the start on time. You MUST carry with you a valid, current photo identification card to enter Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall. Late arrivals will not be allowed to proceed through the base

8:45-9:30 a.m. | Rest Stop 1

3:15-3:30 p.m. | Riders arrive at the Frederick Fairgrounds, Frederick, MD

  • Fairgrounds Location: 797 E Patrick St, Frederick, MD 21701.
  • Athletes celebrate with food and beverage. Food trucks will be on-site with options.
  • Store bikes in a secured building.
  • Collect your overnight bag, and catch free local hotel shuttles from the fairgrounds.

3:00-7:00 p.m. | Shuttle service to hotels from Frederick Fairgrounds

  • Shuttle vans provide transportation for participants to the designated hotels
  • Final shuttle departure from the Fairgrounds is at 7:00 p.m.

5:00-8:30 p.m. | Saturday Evening – Frederick

  • A buffet meal will be provided for all adaptive athletes and volunteers at the Hilton Garden Inn
  • All other athletes and volunteers are responsible for their own dinner arrangements in Frederick

Sunday, April 21

5:30-6:30 a.m. | Breakfast / Luggage drop at the Frederick Fairgrounds

  • Fairgrounds Location: 797 E Patrick St, Frederick, MD 21701.
  • BREAKFAST PROVIDED AT FAIRGROUNDS: featuring breakfast sandwiches and coffee
  • Please depart your hotels to arrive at the fairgrounds early, so we do not have a rush for the shuttles in the last minute. Shuttles run in a continuous loop from the hotels at 5:00 a.m. until 6:30 a.m.
  • Upon arrival, drop your overnight bag at the luggage truck

6:45 a.m. | All riders to staging

7:00 a.m. | Ride Begins

  • Due to athlete travel back on Sunday, we are on a tight timeline departing the Frederick Fairgrounds. Please assist us in meeting our schedule

7:50-8:25 a.m. | Rest Stop 1

  • Museum Location: 845 Crooked Creek Rd, Gettysburg, PA 17325
  • Arrival time is approximate – anticipated between 12:30 and 1:00 p.m.
  • Parking for the museum is onsite until it is full

1:00-3:30 p.m. | Finish Line Party – World War II American Experience

  • Riders taking the shuttle should bring their bike to the box trucks upon finishing for transport to Arlington
  • Rental bikes will be collected at the finish line
  • Enjoy a fresh BBQ meal and beer (included for all participants – additional tickets available for purchase onsite with credit card)

3:00 p.m. | Buses depart finish for Arlington, VA

  • Departure time from the museum is set for 3:00 p.m. Loading begins at 2:00 p.m.

5:00-5:30 p.m. | Buses arrive at Hyatt Regency Crystal City Hotel in Arlington

  • Collect your bicycle from the box trucks
  • Transfer to Hyatt airport shuttle for athletes departing for Reagan National Airport
