Bike Inspections

All bicycles, hand cycles and recumbent bicycles to be ridden by Face of America Liberty athletes should be inspected for proper working and safety prior to the ride. Trained mechanics will be available to inspect bicycles Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Mechanics can make minor adjustments to bikes, but do not plan on having them undertake major repairs – please have this task completed prior to arrival.

Bike inspections are not mandatory, but be aware that if your bike is not in good condition and you become disabled along the route, you will need to ride the sag van to the next rest stop for a mechanic to assist repairs as major delays in the rolling peloton can cause traffic problems.

Bike Storage

Athlete bicycles may be left overnight in a secure storage room at the host hotel if staying at the hotel.

Bike Rentals

Rental bicycles will be available for pick up at the hotel for those athletes who have made prior reservations. Please come to get fitted for your rental, and have any adjustments made on Friday.
